Caught in the Middle

0

Well with the crumbling economy and more and more people losing their jobs it seemed like things are going from bad to worse. On July 1st my boss sat down with me and basically told me that he had enough money to pay me on the 5th (our payday) but that he would not be able to pay me the next payday. As my heart slowly creep up into my throat the reality of the current economic slowdown had become a reality for me as well. Now here is the problem, my boss is waiting on a few investors to make a decision about coming in on a new product we are releasing. If they come in we are back in business and I will be getting paid again. If they don’t come in all is over. So as I sit here today at work (working for FREE) do I hold on hoping that things will be back to normal or get out there and seriously look for another job? Can you see how I seem to be “caught in the middle”? I really have liked my work and my boss is fair and a good person to work for but where do you draw the line and have to look at your family and their well-fair and being able to pay a few bills? I don’t know, as I sit here in a dilemma hoping for a million dollars to fall from the sky and make everything alright. I found a online business named ACME People Search, and it has helped me to make money online and I look to grow this business in hopes that it can take the place of my full-time job. I hope all is well in your world and if you have a job right now, be grateful for it and work hard to keep it.

Can’t seem to sleep…

0

Well I tried to go to bed tonight and just could not sleep. It seemed like my mind was full of every thought I have ever had and I just continued to toss and turn. So at last I came downstairs and decided to write about it. I am looking forward to Tissa Godavitarne’s  webinar on Friday. Tissa is the founder of ACME People Search and we are awaiting word on his new Pay Per Call platform that he is working on. I believe (as he does) that this new Pay Per Call platform will revolutionize the affiliate marketing industry. I look forward to hearing what he has to say.

I also am looking forward to our camp out that our troop (496) is going to have this weekend. I have mixed feelings about camping, since I was a kid I loved it but as I have grown older it is harder to camp and get any sleep and I end up coming home and falling asleep the rest of the day. It is good to go camping with my son and spend time with him, that seems to be the only redeeming quality of it all. Well we are going up near Snowbasin to camp and hopefully the boys will have a good and memorable time. I know I will.

Well I am actually feeling a bit tired. I think I will make another attempt to get some sleep since it is now 3:30 in the morning, gotta work tomorrow you know. So glad it is Friday which means a weekend away from work. Work used to be something I enjoyed and looked forward to as I enjoy what I do as a Graphic Designer but with changes and problems at work it has become a drudgery and I really look forward to going home each day. That usually is a signal to me that it is time to move on. Well good luck and good night, we will see you on the flip side.

Well let’s talk about today

0

Sitting here at work all by myself wondering about the future of my current employment. Why do we rely so heavily on a common 9-5 job? Why don’t more of us take a hold of the reigns and start our own business? I am sure that fear and failure are all too present when we think about these things, but it is the only way we will set ourselves free from the monetary shackles that hold us down from our full potential. What are you going to do? I know that I am going to break free from the 9-5 job and take things into my own hands. I want control of my future and I want to have the things that me and family deserve. Well the whistle has blown and I want to head home. Talk to you at a later time. Carpe Diem!

Who is Scott Hogge?

Well I am a 40+ year old father of three that has been married to a good and beautiful woman. My three kids at this writing are Jason (18), Bradyn (14) and Madison (11). They make life interesting and fun. I am a graphic designer by trade and have practiced for the last 17+ years first working for Epek inc. for about 10 of those years. It was sad to leave Epek as they had some financial troubles and had to close their doors. I really wish I was still working there now. After losing my job at Epek I hopped around from part-time job to part-time job for 9 months until I landed a job at Pinnacle Marketing communications, Inc. I worked at Pinnacle until July of 2011. I now work at Grizzly Graphics in Ogden and really love the company and family atmosphere.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have been all my life. I currently have been called on the High Council in our Stake (Pleasant View Utah South Stake) and live in the Harrisville 4th Ward. We live in North Ogden Utah and had the opportunity to build our own home in the later part of 2005. We are real happy with the community we live in and the schools the children attend.

I love to play basketball, video games, watch sci-fi shows and do anything related to computers. I am a avid basketball and football watcher and take the opportunity when available to watch the Utah Jazz or the Denver Broncos. I have become as of late interested in internet marketing and have become involved in a business online named ACME People Search. It has been a real adventure in learning how to make money and help others do the same.

Well that is a brief introduction to me, thanks for visiting.
